Hey everyone I'm doing good. I made it to Honduras and its is
super hot. My new companions name is Elder Ramirez. He is a Latino from El Salvador. He speaks no English so it has been super hard to communicate. It's
good for me though cause it is making me learn faster. Any Spanish i thought i
knew at the MTC doesn't help. I haven't talked too much in lessons but i talk a
little. Everyone is so accepting of the gospel here. Everywhere we go and ask
to teach them the accept. We haven't had one person tell us no. They give us
phone number address and name no problem. We are serving in El Carmen. Its one of
the safer places to be in Honduras. It's so different here. There are dogs
running loose everywhere and cows just wondering around the city. it's so
different. Our house is pretty small no air conditioner and no kitchen really. We
wash dishes by hand and also have to wash clothes by hand and air dry them. no
maids unfortunately. I sleep in a spring twin bed. I've been sleeping good because
we walk and walk and walk. I think i walk more here then i did when i was shed
hunting. My legs are super tired and i'm super tired. I have to buy all water
bottle and there is water that is in bags that buy. Then you tear the bag
of water and drink it out of it. There is american restaurants around but they
are super expensive. I eat a lot of cereal and noodles and rice. We eat at
members house occasionally and some of the things that i've eaten i don't no what
its is. Our last meal with a member was fish and i'm pretty sure is was a
parana. It tasted really good. Definitely don't eat as much as i did when i was
at home. I'm always hungry so i eat everything that is given to me good or bad.
I've had some things that taste nasty but i eat it cause i'm hungry. We have tons
of investigators. We have 3 members scheduled to be baptized this week so will
see how that goes. Also we have 5 scheduled for september 15. We were teaching
this less active member this one evening and he stood up and pulled a gun out
of his pants. He then walked and put it on the book shelf. he didn´t say
anything he just pulled it out Also we were contacting at a wedding and
i was walking teaching people and when i walked around this corner there was a
lady breast feeding her kid with no cover. It caught me way off guard. I guess
its normal for here. A couple nights ago i ate something and like 10 minutes
later my soft skin around my eyes swelled up huge. I think i was allergic to
something in the food. Its super hard but i know it will get easier ounce i
know how to speak. I love you all and hope all is well.
